Ramblings On More and Better

More is just more. Better is better; more is not necessarily better. For example, if you have a skill of any kind you have a skill. When you talk about improving that skill do you say you get more of it or get better at it? I don't know if that is interchangeable or not. The quality of the product is more important than the amount. Depends upon what it is and the purpose of it you say. Are you the buyer or seller, the end user or producer?
You hone a skill so that implies removing the excess, lessening inefficiency and getting rid of more of something making it better. In this case less is better.
Now would be the time to learn to do better with less. We're being told that less of everything will be available to us such as jobs, food, clean water and so on. Is it better to work more jobs to maintain your style of living? You can get all the radiation contaminated food you can eat and chemically contaminated water you can drink. What about the air you breath?
In conclusion, sometimes more is better and sometimes less is better and either way better is better. We better start figuring it out.
